Electric Picnic

Despite the tight squeeze, we had a wonderful time performing our Girl Power set at the Heineken Live Your Music Stage on the Sunday of Electric Picnic! Having been hanging (lol) around since the Friday, many of us were exhausted, but with the help of our enthusiastic audience we managed to pull through. What began as a congregation of seated, intent listeners soon became a buzzing crowd, filling up the entire stage. A definite highlight was the audience’s reaction to our never-heard-before cover of Natural Woman, a tribute to the late, great Aretha Franklin.

The All Together Now Festival saw its debut on the 3rd of August, providing three days of freedom and escapism through the realms of music, comedy and theatre. For the first time in over a year, Trinity Orchestra performed our cherished David Bowie set, arranged by Aran O’Grady and Seamus Ryan, and made famous after its debut at Electric Picnic 2016 where we had Hozier join us on stage! We had an incredible time performing in front of one of the biggest, most animated crowds we’d played for in a long time. I think we’re all hoping to return next year!
The Summer Series
We had the absolute pleasure of performing at the Summer Series in Trinity College, Dublin, to support the iconic operatic group Il Divo on July 24th. We performed our much loved 'Girl Power' set, which consists of groovy hits from Diana Ross, Stevie Nicks, Britney Spears, and many more inspiring female artists from throughout the ages!
